Gouramis Profile

  • Should be kept in a tank of at least 20 gallons. These fish range in size but they will usually reach 3-4 inches with certain breeds getting larger.
  • They are peaceful to semi-aggressive.
  • Are omnivores.

                                                  

Water conditions should be:      Temperature: between 72 and 82 F

                                                KH: 5-20

                                                pH: 6.8-8.5

                                               

 

Gouramis are a unique freshwater fish that has some very interesting color patterns and shades. Gouramis are easy to moderate in care level.

 

Gouramis Compatibility

Caution should be used when placing Gouramis with New World Cichlids, Bettas, Discus, Larger catfish and Tetras.

Extreme Caution:  Gouramis should not be placed in a tank with Malawian Cichlids, Tanganyikan Cichlids, African Cichlids, Fancy Goldfish and Brackish fish.
