Damsels

  • Should be kept in a tank of at least 30 gallons. These fish range in size with an average around 2 inches.
  • These fish are semi aggressive.
  • Will eat plants and meaty foods.
  • These are reef compatible.

Water conditions should be:      Temperature: between 72 and 78 F

                                                dKH: 8-12

                                                pH: 8.1-8.4

                                                sg: 1.020-1.025

These fish are excellent for beginners to the salt water aquarium world and are easy to care for. There are several variations of the Damsels ranging from the traditional solid color to the two tone damsel and damsels with stripes.

Damsels compatibility-

Damsels will get along with most species of saltwater fish.

Caution should be used when placing Damsels with other Damsels, Batfish, Cardinals, Chromis, Dartfish, Grunts, Sweetlips, Hogfish, Squirrelfish and Triggerfish.

Extreme Caution:  Damsels should not be placed in a tank with Anglers, Eels, Groupers, Lions/Scorpionfish, Seahorse/Pipefish, and Sharks/Rays.
